Brisbane Airport Deploying 20/20 Aeronautical Billing System from GentrackGentrack, a global provider of airport management solutions, announced it has signed a new contract to deploy its leading aeronautical billing system to Brisbane Airport.
The aeronautical billing deal follows Brisbane’s tender for a new suite of operational airport systems also won by Gentrack’s Airport 20/20 division. The 20/20 Aeronautical Billing System will be deployed in conjunction with the airport’s new 20/20 Aeronautical Database (AODB), Resource Management and Flight Information Display Systems. This latest win extends Gentrack’s footprint in Australia, it’s now providing its billing system to eight airports across five states according to Nigel Farley, 20/20 General Manager.
“The selection process for the billing system was very competitive and we’re very pleased to commence work with Brisbane Airport. The project provides the airport with a specialist billing system with proven capabilities currently used by most of Australia’s major airports including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Gold Coast Airports.”
The 20/20 billing system will be implemented in parallel with the airport’s new 20/20 operational systems, and will streamline the collection and processing of information required for comprehensive aeronautical billing activities.
“Our expertise is in delivering comprehensive and highly integrated airport management solutions,” continued Farley, “that enable airports like Brisbane to operate more efficiently and to optimise the traveller experience.”
Brisbane Airport had a record year in 2011 with over 20 million passengers through its domestic and international terminals. Consistently ranked highly against other airports in Australia for its quality of service, Brisbane Airport employs over 17,000 people with forecast growth to 50,000 by 2029. Brisbane Airport joins Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (NLIA) as the latest international airports to deploy 20/20 solutions including Billing, Flight Display, Resource Management and Operational Database Systems.
