Junifer Systems is proud to announce that it has successfully delivered another customer information and billing implementation to a local authority supplier – Bristol Energy – to help the new energy company provide gas and electricity to local and national residents.
Junifer CIS was selected after a competitive tendering process and delivered on time, and to budget. Junifer’s system is currently supporting residential customers, but the solution was chosen because it also allows Bristol Energy to incorporate other types of customer, including industrial commercial, as well as different meter types, as the business grows.
Bristol Energy is using the full capability of Junifer including customer care, accounts receivable, credit control and billing. The system is fully integrated with the enrolment and self-serve portal, data flow system provided by Utiligroup, and SMETS1 meter head ends.
Peter Haigh, Managing Director of Bristol Energy, said “We chose Junifer because of their successful track record in the energy supply market. We had a tight timeline to go live, and wanted a system that could be ready to go very quickly. Junifer’s ‘out of the box’ approach suited us perfectly, and the flexibility and the scalability of the system means that it can grow with us.
“We’re also glad that Junifer is taking a proactive approach to industry change – the system is already Nexus ready, and is partnering with DCC adaptors to ensure that we will be fully compliant with the smart meter roll-out timeline. Junifer might be relatively new to the energy market, but they are already a tried and trusted partner.”
Paul Fitzgerald, Sales Director at Junifer, commented, “We were really excited to partner with Bristol Energy, as they have an exciting ambition to change the face of energy supply. Our extensive experience in supporting new entrants to the market also meant that we were perfectly placed to get Bristol Energy taking on customers as soon as possible.”
Bristol Energy is one of the first energy supply companies that reinvests its profits into its founding city. As the company approaches the end of its first year of operation, the national energy company continues to provide ‘fair and straightforward energy for all’. It is already saving its customers around £200 per year on average. And 98% of people who switch to Bristol Energy save money.
Supporting them in the journey, Junifer are proud that their cutting edge billing system gives Bristol the flexibility and scalability it needs as it develops its offering and grows its customer base.
