Having been a 30-year veteran of the technology industry, Ian joined Gentrack as CEO in 2016. Ian has served as COO of SAP Australia and CEO of SAP New Zealand, as well as held sales management positions in both SAP and Oracle in APAC and the UK.
Before joining Gentrack, Ian was a director of several innovative high growth start-up software and SaaS businesses. He has a strong track record in developing and successfully executing growth strategies and is passionate about building customer-centric organisational structures and nurturing a culture of innovation and trust.
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
A seasoned senior IT executive, Jan Behrens became Gentrack’s Chief Technology Officer in 2016. With a passion for new technologies and strong skills in agile implementation, software engineering & EA, project management and service delivery, he was appointed to shape the company’s new technology strategy and lead its R&D programme as it embarked on its next phase of growth in the utility and airport software markets.
Jan joined Gentrack from healthcare information technology company Orion Health, where he was EVP of Engineering and EVP Shared Technology Group. Prior to that, he was CTO of PayGlobal, which was acquired by MYOB, a provider of business management, accounting, payroll and tax software.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Tim Bluett has 25 years’ experience in the technology and telecommunications industries and has a successful track record in leading significant growth and change initiatives as well as merger and acquisition activities.
He has held senior finance roles in a range of blue chip organisations across the UK, USA, France, New Zealand, Australia and the Caribbean. He joined Gentrack in April 2018 from The Warehouse Group, where he held the position of Deputy CFO, prior to which he was CFO at Serko Ltd and Telecom NZ Retail.

An accomplished agile information leader, David joined Gentrack in mid-September 2017 from software company Qrious, where he held the position of CTO and acting CEO. With extensive experience in business transformation and large-scale ERP solution implementations, David is responsible for driving the global marketing, service delivery and technical support functions for Gentrack’s growing international solution business.
David has served as CIO at Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, and held senior roles at Centrica, the largest utility in the UK; London Electricity; Xero and airports technology company Amadeus.
As Vice President of Gentrack’s global Airports Division, Chris oversees the Airport 20/20 business and Gentrack’s two recent partial acquisitions Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) based in Malta and BLIP Systems in Denmark.
Chris brings an extensive leadership background to the Gentrack business, having spearheaded significant enterprise technology businesses in the US, including big data analytics company GeoDigital International and utilities solutions companies Ventyx (an ABB company), Hansen Technologies, First Data Corporation and PEACE Software.
VP GLOBAL ACCOUNTS
An experienced sales and relationship executive, Glenn is responsible for managing Gentrack’s strategic accounts and alliances globally.
Joining Gentrack over 11 years ago, his initial role in the business involved successfully managing key customer accounts within New Zealand’s competitive energy sector. Glenn’s background in strategic sales and marketing coupled with his ability to build strategic customer relationships was key to his landing his current role.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, Glenn represents Gentrack at industry forums on energy competition, water market reform, and billing and CRM solutions for utilities.

Since joining Gentrack in 2013, Jon has been responsible for overseeing all commercial and legal aspects of the business.
A qualified Chartered Accountant with over ten years’ experience in finance and executive management in technology companies, Jon provides strong commercial leadership, which is essential to Gentrack’s ability to secure and deliver projects across multiple regions and jurisdictions. Jon is actively involved in overseeing contract negotiations and any legal matters surrounding customer, supplier and partner engagement worldwide. Jon has a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Honours.
COUNTRY MANAGER - NZ & PACIFIC
Based in Auckland, Tony joined Gentrack’s Key Accounts and Strategic Relationships team in 2008 and now holds the position of Country Manager (NZ and Pacific).
Tony is responsible for ensuring both the successful implementation of Gentrack’s sales strategy and world-class service delivery in the NZ and Pacific markets while continuing the company’s growth in those.
Holding a BSC (Hons) Business Information Technology, he is actively engaged in the energy sector and regularly represents Gentrack at industry events.

With over 20 years’ experience in the utilities industry, Jo is responsible for staff training and development as well as internal systems adoption, actively driving initiatives which continually enhance Gentrack’s ability to deliver world-class solutions and industry expertise.
Having worked for Gentrack since 2001, Jo has overseen a number of the company’s significant implementation projects locally and internationally. She has been involved in project planning and delivery, engaging with customers to ensure the successful deployment of solutions. Prior to joining Gentrack, Jo was employed by one of New Zealand’s largest energy companies.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
With extensive experience in the utilities industry, Adam leads Gentrack’s entry into new markets.
Joining the business in 2002 from the New Zealand energy sector, Adam’s background includes the implementation of Gentrack’s leading software as a customer at Natural Gas Corporation.
Holding a Diploma in Business Studies, he is highly experienced with both energy and water utility operations and has been involved in several significant implementations in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
With a background in strategic HR Management as well as health and safety, Melina joined Gentrack in July 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the company’s HR function globally.
Melina has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK across several industries, including manufacturing, logistics, tertiary education, not for profit and call centres. Prior to joining Gentrack, she successfully transitioned into an operations role responsible for running a large logistics centre based at Heathrow Airport.

With an extensive background in the utilities sector, Paul spearheads Gentrack’s operations in Australia, ensuring the business continues its momentum in the country and that its solutions continue to evolve to support the needs of the market.
Prior to joining Gentrack, Paul advised on key projects in Australia’s utilities market as an Independent Sector Advisor to global information technology and consulting companies Wipro and Capgemini. Passionate about driving growth through strategic planning, he has also held key positions with Logica, Honeywell, Gridx Power and TXU Energy.

With over 20 years’ experience in the technology and billing sector, Saul leads Gentrack’s utilities operations in the UK and Europe as Managing Director.
For eight years, he served as Managing Director of Junifer Systems, which was acquired by Gentrack in March 2017. Prior to that, Saul held senior executive positions at telecom analytics solutionsproviders Subex Systems and Azure Solutions. A billing industry expert, Saul was also one of the founders of telecoms and event-based billing company Calculus Solutions.
Saul is a regular conference speaker and holds an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Cape Town.

A co-founder of Junifer Systems, which was acquired by Gentrack in March 2017, Paul now heads up Gentrack’s sales and marketing functions in the UK and Europe.
Prior to the inception of Junifer Systems, Paul co-founded telecoms and event-based billing company Calculus Solutions, and as an independent consultant, he helped early-stage companies to formulate and drive their sales execution strategy. Paul has also worked for business and technology service company Logica and database company Sybase.
Paul has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Business Studies from University College Dublin.

Specialising in managing large, complex implementation projects delivering solutions that consistently exceed customer expectations, Kenton is responsible for spearheading Gentrack’s utilities operations in the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Junifer Systems, which was acquired by Gentrack in March 2017, Kenton was the owner of Intrinsic Ventures, a company providing consultancy and mentorship to Venture Capital firms, IT Software companies and early stage, high technology businesses. He also co-founded telecoms and event-based billing company Calculus Solutions and worked for Price Waterhouse (Management Consultancy Practice) and Sybase Professional Services (Telecoms Practice).
Kenton has a Computer Science Degree from Southampton University.

Now with 14 years’ experience within the UK energy market, Geoff oversees Gentrack’s global business development activities.
Geoff has worked for energy suppliers, including British Gas, served on the board of two of the largest energy brokers in the UK B2B space – Make it Cheaper and Inenco Direct. – and worked for one of the recognised largest Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) within the business market.
As Managing Director of Extra Energy, Geoff was responsible for the start-up and market entry of one of the fastest growing energy suppliers in the domestic and SME markets. Furthermore, as a consultant to the energy sector, Geoff advised large and small energy suppliers and TPIs, using his wealth of experience and credibility to promote the growth and success of businesses in the UK.
