Energetix chooses Gentrack Velocity Energy Billing and CRM System

Gentrack announced today that it has signed a contract to deliver its specialist energy billing and CRM software to Energetix Group plc (AIM: EGX), specialists in developing and commercialising alternative and efficient energy products.

Energetix announced in February this year plans to create a new energy supply company in the UK, provisionally called Kingston Energy which would require amongst other things, a billing and CRM system to support the growth into the UK energy sector. After a competitive tender process, Gentrack, a global provider of best of breed billing and CRM systems for utilities, was awarded the contract. Recently establishing a new office in Manchester and winning major deals at Barwon Water and Unitywater in Australia, this latest contract win marks a strong 18 months for the Gentrack business, also releasing its next generation energy and water billing and CRM software.

Gentrack CEO, James Docking believes this is an exciting time for both companies. “We are thrilled to be supporting Energetix as they continue to expand their business and launch what will be one of the UK’s most innovative energy companies in Kingston Energy. Gentrack has a long history of successfully supporting utility companies of all sizes  and we are eager to continue this with Energetix as our newest addition to the Gentrack community in the UK”.

Energetix continues to redefine the traditional energy supply business and the selection and implementation of Gentrack Velocity as a business critical system is a crucial step towards creating a successful dual fuel energy business according to Tony Stiff, Chief Executive Officer of Kingston Energy, “It is very important that we have state of art, world class systems to deliver excellent customer service. We have been very impressed with Gentrack during the selection process and look forward to implementing the software with them over the coming months”.

Energetix Group plc is a developer of cost-effective products designed to meet the growing global demand for alternative energy, with a particular focus on distributed generation, energy storage and energy efficiency. Energetix has two subsidiary businesses; Genlec, a specialist in distributed energy generation for domestic dwellings; and Pnu Power, providers of compressed air back-up power to ensure an uninterruptible power supply for critical systems used by telcos, data centre providers and throughout power transmission businesses.

Gentrack Velocity is Gentrack’s flagship product, designed specifically for energy and water retail and distribution utilities. Developed for a low risk implementation and offering a low cost of ownership over larger ERP providers it is proven in both regulated and competitive markets at over 45 utility sites worldwide including the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
