Gentrack and the Womens’ Utilities Network announce partnership to help support women in developing fulfilling careers in the utilities industry

We are delighted to announce that Gentrack is now a partner of the Women’s Utilities Network (WUN).  WUN is a networking powerhouse in the utilities space and was created to support increased diversity and the development of women in all stages of their careers.

Diversity is an important element to any successful team and a cornerstone of our employee value commitment of respecting our colleagues.  Across Gentrack, we foster a collaborative and creative culture and having diverse voices in our teams is fundamental to achieving that.

Through our partnership with the WUN, we will be encouraging our female staff to participate in the WUN’s mentoring scheme, both as mentors and mentees.  Gentrack staff across the company will also have the opportunity to benefit from the great activities and outputs produced by the WUN team, including WUN FOR ALL networking events, podcasts and training sessions.

WUN was founded in 2018 by a group of 5 senior female executives from across the utilities industry.  Their mission was to help women to connect with other women, to share learnings, build confidence and develop their own passion for the fast-moving utilities space.  The founders group; Angela Peart, Angela Needle, Hayley Monks, Jo Butlin and Rebecca Sedler, are all passionate about increasing diversity in the utilities sector and decided to take action by building a community of like-minded women.  The WUN now boasts over 2,300 members from across energy and water, and at all career stages

Here at Gentrack, we’re also driven by a passion to create positive impact.  We believe in making a difference. We’re looking forward to working with the WUN team to share how we are helping energy and water companies across the globe reshape what it means to be a utilities company.
