Gentrack appoints Gary Miles as Chief Executive Officer

CEO brings extensive experience transforming companies and industries through the development and deployment of cloud-native technologies and services

Gentrack Group Ltd (NZX/ASX: GTK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Miles as Chief Executive Officer, commencing 1 October 2020. Miles’ appointment follows an extensive global executive search to identify candidates with enterprise software and cloud-native experience to lead Gentrack into its next phase as a leading provider of SaaS solutions for utilities and airports.

Acting Chair Fiona Oliver said, “The Board is delighted to welcome Gary to the Gentrack business. He brings a real focus on driving global growth and building a workplace that fosters innovation, diversity and collaboration. His combined software and services experience with cloud technologies will also help to accelerate our transition to SaaS and deliver more value to customers and shareholders. Gary will lead the Group from our London office.”

Miles joins Gentrack following an extensive international career in enterprise technology innovation and cloud capabilities, including serving on the leadership team of Amdocs (NASDAQ:DOX), a provider of cloud business software and services to the communications industry.  In Amdocs he is currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer and prior to this role, was Division President and CTO leading strategy development, building the product portfolio and sales organisation as well as overseeing Amdocs’ digital services, big data and mobile engagement divisions. He has also founded and successfully scaled several technology companies including jNetX, a next generation intelligent network platform for communication service providers, prior to its acquisition by Amdocs in 2009.

Miles will join the Gentrack Group Ltd board as an executive director, an appointment that will be put to shareholders for approval at the annual meeting in February 2021.  He will not be an independent director.
