Gentrack celebrates client award win recognising customer engagement

Specialist software company, Gentrack is celebrating the success of its client, OVO Energy which scooped one of the top honours at this year’s Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

The judges assessing the ‘Scale up Institute’ Smith and Williamson award, considered entries on a number of criteria, including market share, sales increase, and exceptional customer service. The panel acknowledged OVO as ‘an outstanding example of a high growth business that has broken into an established market and used innovation to acquire hundreds of thousands of customers and significant revenues.’

Gentrack European Vice-president, David Brown said: “We are extremely pleased to see the success of OVO continue. Its focus on creating and improving all aspects of the customer journey has never faltered which is fundamental to its impressive industry achievements.”

OVO has enjoyed considerable success since it began in 2009, largely thanks to its ability to simplify the energy customers’ journey and to bring about high levels of trust and engagement.

One of the ways in which the energy company has achieved its customer objectives is through the help of energy billing and customer information software specialist, Gentrack, who first provided its Velocity billing solution when OVO entered the UK energy market.
