Gentrack has officially launched its Junifer SaaS billing solution into the Australian utilities market today as part of Australian Utility Week in Melbourne.
Coupled with Gentrack’s expertise in utility market competition and compliance, including the Power of Choice, Junifer is designed for new entrant and small energy retailers looking to enter the NEM quickly and scale rapidly with new product and service offerings. Junifer is the incumbent billing solution in the UK energy market, used by over half of the independent energy suppliers, including Green Star Energy, Pure Planet, Bristol Energy and Bulb. Junifer is also used by larger energy brands E.ON and ENGIE. The billing solution is proven in competitive energy markets and brings to Australia a new, cost-effective alternative for start-up energy suppliers that need to get to market quickly, secure market compliance, onboard customers seamlessly and scale quickly.
Paul King, Gentrack’s Country Manager in Australia, said: “It’s an exciting time for Gentrack as we add the Junifer platform to our offering, giving us a world-beating suite of billing and customer management solutions for utilities. Junifer provides a reliable system of record, automating meter-to-cash processes, including market interaction, billing, customer service and collections. This enables utilities to focus on customers, innovation and disruption of existing utility business models.
“Our goal is to make available a set of essential billing, market and customer management capabilities in both our Junifer and Velocity platforms that empower utilities across all segments of the NEM. This enables them to shape their unique advantage while retaining a painless pathway to fresh capabilities that support new smart energy technologies and customer service experiences.
“Bringing Junifer to Australian utilities will enable them to play their way and move at pace in the everchanging NEM and to shape a successful future for shareholders and customers.”
