Software industry veteran Leigh Warren joins Gentrack’s Board of Directors

25 August 2008: Former Oracle and SAP senior executive – Leigh Warren, has joined Gentrack, a leading provider of utility billing and customer management software solutions.

Gentrack is pleased to welcome Leigh Warren to the Gentrack Executive following an extensive career in IT spanning over 20 years. Mr Warren has held executive positions in a number of blue chip companies throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa – including more recently the role of Chief Operations Officer for SAP in North Asia.

Mr Warren commented on the appointment: “I was attracted by the strong growth prospects in the Australian region for the Gentrack business and its products. Working with Oracle and SAP has provided many insights into how enterprise solutions and services are being delivered around the world – insights that I hope will contribute to the growth of Gentrack in the utility space.”

Mr Warren has held the position of Chief Executive for several multinational companies including Tandem Computers and Oracle, where he was Managing Director for ANZ during the acquisition of the Peoplesoft and Retek organisations. He also held the position of Vice President Business Development for Asia Pacific, responsible for Oracle’s new product programs across the region.

In addition to Mr Warren’s position on Gentrack’s Board of Directors, he is also currently Chairman and CEO of his own consulting company which specialises in organisational effectiveness with a particular focus on sales performance. He has previously served on the Boards of Oracle in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as well as being a member of the Council for Economic Development in Australia. He currently serves on the board of three companies.

Gentrack CEO James Docking continued: “Leigh will be instrumental to the overall strategic direction of the Gentrack business. He joins a growing list of credible local industry leaders that have joined the Gentrack business such as John Clifford from world leading metering business Landis+Gyr, and Cesare Tizi the former CIO of AGL. Together, we will be driving the Gentrack team to win business in the utility industry against our much larger US and European based competitors.”
